Hello~ So in this tutorial I'll illustrate my method of shading with the color
white. :3 My white shading is very quick and easy, so you will find this
tutorial very short and simple. * Please note: this tutorial is just one of many
techniques for shading white. I encourage you to play around with other styles
to form your own. Ok? :3
So...let's start!!

First, the outline; then shade with white. I did the skirt of a dress for this tutorial. :3 Ok, so let me tell you: my white palette is pretty much always four colors...and they're all shadow colors. :3 So here's the outline!

Ok, so let's start shading the folds! *rubs hands together* xDD; I'm not that great at explaining how to shade folds...so just take a look at what I've done~ You'll want to do this with your second darkest color.

Ok, next step! With your next shadow color, shade closely next to (and on top at some points) the previous folds you've made. This step is basically to soften the harshness of the previous folds. So, use your judgment here; whatever looks good, do it! But don't overdo it or it will end up looking pillow shaded. D:

Last step! (Told you it was quick! ;D) Shade the outline! You
know how important that is! <3 :3 You can also use this step to fix anything
that looks off.

Ta-daaa!! There's your (or my, rather D:) white shaded doll!! I hope you enjoyed (and understood) this tutorial. Please let me know if you have any questions, or comments, or to let me know if I messed up anything. :3 Thanks for looking! <3
